Kristy, a graduate of Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, was self-employed for several years in house cleaning. Her favorite pastimes included woodworking and crafts.
Survivors include Kristy's parents, Rayburn Carter and Loucinda Joyce Courson Carter; four children, Jacob Sweeney (Desaray), Joseph Sweeney, Amelia Avery, and Mia Carter; two grandchildren, Madalyn and Allyson; two brothers, Kenneth Carter (Elizabeth) and Kerry Carter (Kim);, five nieces and one nephew; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will greet friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 1-2 p.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance for Kristy at 2 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
