

Langley is preceded in death by his wife, Marjoryn Rawls Creighton, his parents, Edward Bernard Creighton and Mary Teal Creighton, siblings, Harold Creighton (Colleen), Juanita Chisolm (Curtis), Thelma Hopkins (Joe), Lamar Creighton (Libbie), Mary Edna Ferguson (Bob), Billie Packer (Jack), Bobbie Harley (Tommy), and Edward Creighton, Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Creighton Stearns (Steve) and Karen Creighton McGrew; son, Alan Langley Creighton (Lynn); grandchildren, David Stearns, Colin Stearns (Meg), Josh McGrew (Aftin), Jordan McGrew (Natalie), Catherine Creighton Nichols (Sam), Alison Creighton Johnson (Jared), Matt Alan Creighton (Erin), and Jane Creighton Denney (Luke); great-grandchildren, Madeline McGrew, Shields McGrew, Fenton McGrew, Charlie McGrew, Mary Mills Nichols, Lewis Johnson, and Ellie Creighton.
Langley graduated from Pensacola High School in 1946 and served three years in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator and instructor. He then attended Howard College (Samford University) where he met the love of his life, Marjoryn Rawls, who he married August 26, 1952. After earning a degree in Business Administration, he spent 37 years with the Bell Telephone System in Montgomery, Atlanta, and Birmingham, retiring in 1989. He was a longtime faithful member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church.
Langley was a man of character, integrity, and quiet faith. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was responsible and generous with those less fortunate than himself, and he instilled these values in his children.
The family thanks those who helped care for Langley in his last years.
A private service will be held in Langley's honor at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
