Len was a great example of Christ's love for The Church.  He impacted many lives!  Janeal, you have been and will be in our prayers as you travel the next miles of your journey.  We love you!

Len III and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr.Shannon was a mentor and friend. He gave me my start in banking and I will always have special memories of my time at Southtrust.After he retired things were never the same. Southtrust was agreat place to work in those days and Mr.Shannon played a huge part in making it so. Anytime i get a chance to speak with young bankers I end up relating something I learned from Mr.Shannon.God Bless!

I am Very Sad to hear about Mr. Shannon's passing away. I worked in his Office in 1985 at SouthTrust Bank when I was just right after High School. Mr. Shannon was Always So Nice & Kind to me. I am Praying Fiercely for the Entire Family! May God Be With You All!

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Shannon's passing...guess he waited on Harry Brock to get there first, cause he knew if Harry made it he would too!   Loved them both not just for what they made of themselves but being the best aspirations to many including me.  Those were the best times of my life and I will never forget him or HB.  They were the best of the best and along with Wallace Malone who also made me successful..made me want to better myself and be the best of the best. He and HB taught me how to be something, not owe anyone but take my talents and make something of them.....and they did, I retired as a Network Engineer, back when women were not considered equal to men.  It is because of Len Shannon and Harry Brock along w/Wallace Malone that I had the greatest gift of working for them...but only Wallace Malone got to hear that as they both were already retired.  I only hope my own legacy could come close to Mr.Shannons and that I inspired others as he did me.....He was such an awesome boss, mentor....I will never 4 get him, I was in my 20's when Brock and Mr Shannon were in control!  They both were great men!  I hope his family knows that he made a difference in my life....and I am doing well.....wld love to be in Heaven when Len and Harry hug.....old friends, old work buddies!  The best of the best

Len Shannon, a friend and one who believed in me.

A man of God who lived a life of service.  He was full of joy and energy.  Quick with a smile and a kind word.  Mrs. Shannon, Len and Neal are loved.  My prayers go with you.  Mr Shannon will soar with Eagles

Mr. Shannon is celebrating in Heaven, but he is greatly missed here on Earth.  He was always...absolutely always...a dear friend and brother in Christ to me and my family.  My prayers for comfort and peace are with Mrs. Shannon and the rest of his family.

Wonderful man whom I had the pleasure of meeting while at a DAR function.  Len was doing his HODAR duties which he did so well for his sweet wife.  He will be missed by all of us as well.

We are all very sorry and our prayers are with the family. Connie and I always enjoyed visiting with Len in Sunday School. He was very proud of his two sons.

Wonderful man who always had a kind word for everyone he met. Len will be missed by many.

Len was an innovator in the Banking industry. He taught the local market how to sell in the Banking industry instead of just being order takers. He helped many in their careers. I'm sorry I may be out of town for his service.
