Lila Graves

Dr. Lila “Randa” Vinson Graves of Indian Springs, AL passed away on September 24, 2021. Dr. Graves was Professor Emerita in the English Dept. of UAB, where she taught for 46 years. She was the first woman to serve as president of the UAB Faculty Senate.

Dr. Graves is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack L. Graves; their children, Meredith (Doug) and Ed Graves (Hollie); and six grandchildren.

A private service for immediate family was held at the Indian Springs Town Hall.
