

She is survived by her husband, Joe “Bo” Holmes; daughter, Valerie Baker (David); brother, Ron Black (Carolyn); granddaughter, Callie Baker; and other special nieces and relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Virginia Black. Linda was born on September 13, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and moved to the Birmingham area with her family in 1962. She lived for
years in the Bluff Park Community until relocating a little further south to Indian Springs Village in 1981.
She graduated from Berry High School in 1966.
Linda spent thirty years of her life as a banker, and she dearly loved working with her clients. She truly wanted to help everyone. It was at her job as a bank teller where she met the love of her life, Joe
Holmes. They were happily married for 44 years.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Linda will be at rest at the Alabama National Cemetery.
