Louise was a loving wife and mother - the ultimate homemaker for her husband, Robert, and their five children. She devoted herself to her family.
Louise was involved at Shades Mountain Independent Church for many years, including volunteering at the church office. She was happiest, however, at home working in the yard or in the kitchen. There was always room for one more family member or guest at the dinner table. She made the house a home filled with love and laughter.
Louise was predeceased by her parents, Columbus David Tedford and Dora Gyton Tedford; brothers and sister-in-law, G.C. Tedford, J.R. Tedford, Howard Tedford, Clayton and Montez Tedford, and Mack Tedford; and brother-in-law, John Baker.
Survivors include Louise's husband Robert Earl Thrasher, to whom she would have been married for 70 years on September 4, 2017. They were a shining example of what a marriage is supposed to look like.
Survivors also include Louise's daughter, Annette (Ralph); sons, Don (Paula), Robert E. Jr. (Jamie), Tommy, and Stewart (Amanda); grandchildren, Kevin Thrasher (Christina), Tara Milano (Jason), Jeremey Thrasher, Ryan Thrasher (Sammi), Ashley Keiser, Courtney Keiser, and Leah Keith (Bradley); great-grandchildren, Donovan Thrasher, Eason Keith, and Charlea Keith; sister, Barbara Baker; and sisters-in-law, Dot Tedford, Judy Tedford, and Sue Tedford.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by the 2 p.m. celebration of Louise's life and legacy at the funeral home's chapel. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville, AL. Louise's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may go to the Alzheimers Association of Alabama.
