On July 25, 2023, Lucie Isabella Moore passed away suddenly, but peacefully, in her sleep in her Manhattan, New York City apartment at the young age of 23. Lucie’s previous evening consisted of one of her favorite pastimes, reading on the rooftop of her apartment building facing the lights of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Lucie leaves behind her mother, Terri Parker (Dennis) of Birmingham, Alabama; father, Thomas Moore (Terri) of Owens Crossroads, Alabama; sister, Lydia Moore of Seattle, Washington; sister, Lauren Parker of Trussville, Alabama; and sister, Sarah Parker of St. Louis, Missouri. She also leaves behind her grandparents, David and Linda Goode of Hernando, Mississippi, and Milburn and Sandra Moore of Owens Crossroads. She will be missed by her Aunt Tammy Marshall and Uncle Danny Marshall of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Aunt Michelle Holmes and Uncle Ballard Holmes of Roswell, Georgia; and cousins Lily Marshall of Olive Branch, Brock Holmes of Culver City, California; Caroline Holmes Adams of Leesburg, Georgia; and Baylor Holmes of Kennesaw, Georgia.
Lucie was a 2018 graduate of Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham. She earned her BS in Fashion Merchandising with a Business Minor from Auburn University, where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. While at Auburn, she was an active member of the Apparel Merchandising and Design Association. While in NYC, she often watched her Auburn Tigers play with the NYC Auburn Club in Times Square and spent time at her local comedy cellar with her friends.
After graduation, Lucie chased her dreams to a fashion job in New York City. She worked as a Retail Operations Associate at the U.S. corporate office of HUGO BOSS. In her first year at HUGO BOSS, she was able to travel the country opening new stores, and she quickly became a favorite among the Corporate Team.
Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., all on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in Irondale, Alabama at the Chapel at Church of the Highlands, Grants Mill, where Lucie was a member. Her laughter will forever echo gently in the hearts of those who loved her as they find comfort knowing she is now with Jesus.
