I am Melanie Parker Johnson’s mom. When the girls were young Melanie and Brooke spent many Times together. Melanie was swimming so offensive at Brooke’s we should have bought chlorine for the pool. Brooke was a beautiful girl inside and out. Even though it’s been years since I moved and haven’t seen Brooke my heart is so sad. The beautiful memories last so much longer than your sadness of her going away. She is only gone from sight. She will always be with you. Love Susan

From the moment I met Brooke I simply adored her. She was so kind and had the most beautiful personality. She and I love animals so we clicked immediately. We shared some good laughs and I can only imagine how big she is smiling now. Until I see you again sweet lady.

Our family has lost a precious, vibrant, fun loving soul. I will miss her dearly and look forward to the day when I run up and give her a big bear hug in Heaven! As cousins only 8 years apart, Brooke was my idol - she was everything I wanted to be! I followed her around like a puppy and loved it when she came over to visit or when we would go swimming at her pool. So many memories. So many laughs. She has the best laugh! I will miss her smile and her beauty. Brooke's love, kindness, and generous spirit will live on in each of us who are privileged to know & love her.

Brooke and I were not related by blood, but I feel like I have lost a dear family member. Her mom Kayren and I met at the University of Montevallo, and we have forged a bond that is stronger than the bonds shared by many sisters. My heart is broken. Brooke was a kind-hearted and loving soul. The love she and Ashley shared was beautiful, and I am so happy that Brooke had that kind of love in her life. Sometimes life is hard and cruel, and we have to find a way to keep on keeping on. I know that is what Brooke would want all of her family and friends to do. It is a comfort knowing that her dad Kenneth is holding her hand while Bubba sits in her lap. I'm so glad her suffering is over.
