Martha Haynes "Aunt Sissy" Paulk

Martha Haynes "Aunt Sissy" Paulk, age 86, of Helena, AL passed away April 29, 2020. She was born to Everett and Nell Northcutt on December 13, 1933 in Birmingham, AL. She was a graduate of Hueytown High School. Martha had a successful career with Southern Research and retired after 20 plus years with the company. She served on the Midfield, AL Board of Education and the Midfield City Council. She was devoted to her faith, she grew up attending Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Martha later began attending Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. She was a devoted, wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Nell Northcutt; brothers and sister-in-laws, Tom and Elaine Northcutt, and Foster and Marilyn Northcutt. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 20 years, Demond Paulk; children, Rusty Haynes (Laura), Teresa Mitchell (Roy), Barry Haynes, Nancy Hodges (Wayne); brothers and sisters; Bob Northcutt (Brenda), Jon Northcutt (JJ), Sara Dabbs (JT), and Judy Upchurch (Ervin); Muner's grandchildren, Shane (Kacy) and Jeremy (Christy) Haynes, Harrison Haynes, Adam Mitchell (Elizabeth), Marc Mitchell, Whitney Mitchell, Abby Haynes Smith (Keylan), Lindsey Haynes (Ashley), Ashley Buckner (Brian), Jeremy Hodges (Nicki), Josh Hodges (Erin), Scott Deason (Kelsey), and Jessica Hodges (Sonny); 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews. The family will have a private graveside service to honor Martha.
