Nadine S. Holtzman, 78, of Alabaster, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020. She was born in Wedowee, Alabama on June 5, 1941.

Nadine was married to Robert R. "Bob" Holtzman on May 3, 1958. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Connection Church in Pelham, Alabama, and was passionate about Jesus, her family, her friends, and "Emma."

Nadine was predeceased by her mother, Frances Odessa Lancaster; her father, Charlie J. Sheppard; one son, Robert Douglas "Doug" Holtzman; one brother, Terry Lancaster; and two sisters, Tina Lancaster and Shirley Alexander.

In addition to her husband, Bob, Nadine is survived by her daughter, Bobbi L. Holtzman Brown; one son, Charles S. "Chuck" Holtzman (Kelly); grandchildren, Chad Holtzman (Melanie), Richard Holtzman (Neely), Chase Holtzman (Katie), Lacey Brown Lawyer (Luke), Angel Brown Johnson (Jason), Chelsea Holtzman McGraw (Dwight), Jared Holtzman (Kelcie), Linsey Holtzman Bechert (A.J.), Hannah Ferderber (Kyle Burke), Evan Ferderber, and Ashley Ferderber Cayenne (James).

Also cherishing memories of Nadine are her great-grandchildren, Preston and Cameron Johnson, Hunter and Hayden Holtzman, Hailee McGraw, Layla and Logan Lawyer, Addison, Nevaeh, and Caleb Holtzman, Harper Holtzman, and Nella, Ophelia, and Otto Cayenne; one brother, Doug Sheppard (Diane); three sisters, Barbara Ann S. Hall (Wendell), Darlene S. Mayland, and Debbie S. Bryan (Gaylan); a host of nieces and nephews; special "great" nephew, Alex Hall; special "great" niece, Rachel Hall; special "family" friends, Norman and Nina Wilson and family; and many best friends.

Family and friends will celebrate Nadine's life from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. A Service of Celebration will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the funeral home's chapel, and will be immediately followed by the gravesite committal at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Pastor Rick Bishop and Pastor Wendy Lovell of Connection Church will officiate.

Bobbi and Chuck, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of the Deer Springs gang of kids running in and out of your house . Doug and I caused Mrs Nadine to yell way too often.. lol. I hope you can find peace in that she is well and reunited with her baby boy,Doug .Love you all! Give Mr Bob a big hug from me❤️
