Mary Diane Kolar

After graduating from Waggener High School, Mary Diane earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Eastern Kentucky University. She worked as a Vocational Home Economics teacher in Ohio and Kentucky before becoming a homemaker and a self-employed seamstress.

Mary Diane was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham, Alabama. She enjoyed sewing; baking; church activities; preparing meals for her husband of 52 years, William Lewis "Bill" Kolar; spending time with her daughters and grandchildren; and her daily Bible study.

Mary Diane is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Sherri Beth Eichhorn (Erik) and Christi Lynn Waller; grandchildren, Gordon Eichhorn, Michael Waller, Dawson Eichhorn, Matthew Waller, Maddie Waller, and Autumn Eichhorn; and one sister, Judy Watkins (Ed).

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Celebration of Mary Diane's Life at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Dr. Daven Watkins will officiate.
