

She was born in 1928 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late John L. and Fannie Mae Gresham. Marylyn was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Hoover and was active in the blanket ministry at her church. She also made bonnets for premature babies. Along with knitting, she enjoyed reading. Marylyn will be remembered as a loving and devoted mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her Lord and served Him faithfully.
Preceding her in death is her husband, William D. Carroll, Sr.; her son, Wayne Carroll; her grandson, Steve Lively; her two brothers, Billy Gresham and George Gresham; and her son-in-law, Dave Fiems.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Molly Fiems; Sherie (Jeff) Miller; Mary Beth (Paul) Rush; Margie (Paul) Tombrello; and William D. Carroll, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jeff (Heather) Curry; Stephanie (Brandon) Grace; Robby (Katie) Tombrello; Ashley (Tucker) Park; Caroline Rush; Catherine Rush; and Cayley Ann Rush; along with three great-grandchildren, Eva Grace; Addison Tombrello; and Holden Tombrello.
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
