Maurice Hebert

away Monday, August 16, 2021. He was a former

resident of Atlanta, GA. He received both his

undergraduate and master degrees from Georgia

State University where he was also a member of

Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. He served in the Army

and Georgia National Guard. He was a dedicated

CPA in both Georgia, where he had one of the first

computerized practices, and Alabama where he

served the Helena and surrounding communities.

He was a former member of Our Lady of the Valley

Catholic Church and Helena Methodist Church and

was always happy to share his beautiful singing

voice. When he wasn't crunching numbers he was

a dedicated husband and caregiver, enjoyed

photography and often entertained everyone

around him with his comedic personality.

Maurice John was preceded in death by his parents

Warren and Mary Hebert, brother Paul Henry

Hebert, step daughter Terri Garrett Beasley. His

wife, Janet, died in 2013. He is survived by his

children William M. Hebert, and Anne Marie

Whisnant (Richard). Step children, Tammy Garrett

Taylor (Michael), Rocky Garrett, and brother

Sylvester Benjamin Hebert.
