Michael W. Newman, age 56, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on September 5, 2026. He was born on January 14, 1970, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mike was a graduate of Moody High School and then went on to begin a career in building and hotel staging for Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY, and was also proud to serve in the US Navy.
Mike loved riding an e-bike, traveling, and meeting new people. Mike was always on the move!
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty and Ralph McElroy; uncle, Craig McElroy; and grandparents, Mildred and Ray Newman.
Mike is survived by his mother, Ginger Adams (Gerald); father, Jerry Newman; aunts, Gina McElroy and Jackie Kerr; and brother, Mark J. Newman.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
