Milton “Clay” Skinner Sr., 89, of the Valleydale Community of Birmingham, AL, passed from this life and entered into his eternal rest on Tuesday morning, April 29, 2014. He was born on May 1, 1924, in McCalla, AL.
Clay, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Ruth Skinner; son, Milton Edward Skinner; and his father, mother, brothers and sisters.
Survivors include Clay's children, Billy Skinner (Donna), Sammy Skinner (Brenda), Linda Hutchison, Milton Skinner Jr. (Janis), Cathy Burnett (Sandy), and Cindy Richey (Amos); 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola Champion and Julie Slaughter; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be one hour before the 12 noon funeral service on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial, Bryan Memorial Cemetery off Valleydale Road. Rev. Donny Acton and Rev. Allen Foster will officiate at the services.
