Miron was born May 12, 1928 in Pansey, Alabama to Effie and Harvey Hopkins. After graduation from Ashford High School, her hard work and determination led her to graduate from the University of Alabama, where she met her husband Earl.
An exceptionally devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great grandmother, Miron was admired deeply for her kind and generous heart and was a faithful friend to many. It was evident that above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Miron was a long time member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. She served as secretary for several years to Rev. Bill Hay at Covenant Presbyterian Church where she retired.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to all her dedicated and loyal caregivers who loved her dearly over the past four years. Thank you to the staff at Aspire at Cahaba River for their care and compassion; Mrs. Griffin was well loved and had many special friends at Aspire.
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with a chapel service beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
