Myra Doris Ford

Myra will be deeply missed by her nine-year-old son, John Vincent Carlee, who was the light of her life; and by her mother, Deborah Ford Sorrell. Myra loved her family and her long-time friend and John Vincent's father, Clay Carlee. She will be remembered for the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind precious memories that her friends and family will carry with them always.

Myra was preceded in death by her brother, John Daniel Ford; her step-father, George Wesley Sorrell; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Doris Ward; her paternal grandparents, Emmette and Myrajean Ford; her step-grandparents, George and Virginia Sorrell; and her uncle, Douglas Ward.

In addition to her son and mother, Myra is survived by her father, E. W. Ford, Jr. (JoAnn); her brother, Emmette W. Ford, III; nieces; nephews; and other family members.

Although Myra's time with us was far too short, her life will continue through the love she gave and through her son, whom she loved dearly.

The graveside service will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The family will greet friends at A Celebration of Life Reception, following the graveside service, at Ridout's Southern Heritage, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
