Nancy McDaniel Gilmore was born June 8, 1935, and passed away peacefully May 11, 2019, at the age of 83. Nancy was born in Sheffield, Alabama and attended Phillips High School where she was a cheerleader. She was a faithful member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church, and was the church secretary for 26 years. She was married to her loving husband James M. Gilmore for 62 years. She was a loving mother to June G. Martin (Eddie) and James M. Gilmore Jr. (Wendy). She was the proud grandmother of Tyler Martin (Alex), Amanda Gilmore, Rachel Martin, and Allie Gilmore. Nancy was well loved and adored by all. She was a woman of faith and lived her life to serve others. Her gentle and kind spirit touched and brightened the lives of so many. She was committed to and passionate about her family. Nothing thrilled her more than spending time with her family. Nancy was my Sunday School teacher at FFH Baptist Church. She was not just my teacher she lived her faith in front of all of us. We knew she loved us. She loved my parents and they loved her.
My heart grieves for all of the family but heaven has gained a beautiful angel.

There are no words that can take away the hurt of your loss, but know that we hurt with you. May God carry you at this time. Nancy was such a sweet and loving lady, always interested in our children and grandchildren. We will certainly miss sharing pictures with her on Sunday mornings.
