Nancy Morris Roberts

Nancy Morris Roberts passed away on September 22, 2026, after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Katheryne and John Morris. Nancy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Archie Roberts III, a daughter Jennifer Rosser (George), a son Archie Roberts IV (Kasey), a sister Brenda Holman (RD), a brother John Morris (Brenda), her niece Marci Socca (Adam) and six grandchildren: Taylor Rosser, Noah Rosser, Braden Rosser, Madelyn Roberts, Baylee Roberts, and Jack Roberts. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and John Roberts, along with their son, John Roberts, Jr., and her great nieces, Caitlyn and Abby Roberts. She is also survived by numerous cousins.

Nancy was born in Anniston, AL and attended Jacksonville State University. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Birmingham where she sang in the choir. She retired from both Sears and Regions Bank.

For Nancy, her loves were God, family and the University of Alabama. The Braves baseball team came in a close fourth. She raised her family to love God and profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior, just as she did. Nancy loved her children and grandchildren so much. She was the best mother. She put everyone above herself. She always wanted to make sure everyone had food to eat. As for the Tide, she married into an Auburn family and still managed to remain faithful to her team, regardless of the friendly bantering. When it came to the Braves, she could quote statistics and names as well as most sportscasters.

Nancy never met a stranger. Wherever she went, she spoke to everyone and walked away knowing something about the person. She made people feel welcome. She remembered people even after only meeting them once…just ask the Jax State Club Level line! Nancy was also very generous with her time and possessions, offering to help her family and friends. She kept up with her friends, meeting them for lunch when possible and remembering birthdays.

Everyone who knows Nancy is missing her today, but God is with her, ready to resurrect her to everlasting life in His glorious heaven.

Family will greet visitors at 10 am Monday, September 28, 2026, followed by the funeral service at 11 am, at Hunter Street Baptist Church Chapel. Arrangements have been made through Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
