He was born on April 25, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Neal Joseph DePiano and Doris Campbell Page. After graduating from Ensley High School, he went on to attend Auburn University where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. Neal worked for Alabama Power Company. He was a master machinist and an animal lover. He would provide homes to many stray dogs. Neal also loved the show Gunsmoke. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, his grandparents, Jesse and Irma Campbell; and Neal and Lorene DePiano; and his sister, Patty Cagle, also precede him in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Janice DePiano; his three children, Neal DePiano, Jr., Debra Sealy (Charles), and Karen DePiano; and his grandchildren, Aaron DePiano (Tory), Morgan DePiano (Morgan), Christina Sealy, and Maria Sealy (Jordan). He is also survived by his two brothers, Larry DePiano (Peggy), and Jeff Page.
Neal will be laid to rest at Southern Heritage Cemetery in a private ceremony.
