Nell Partridge Carter, age 80, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away on January 30, 2011. Nell, a retired Shelby Medical Center nurse, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a true friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her husband, CE “Bull” Carter; two daughters, Peggy Dunaway and Debbie Carter; one son, Gary Carter; daughter in law, Rhonda Carter; sister, Betty Killingsworth; brothers Johnny Partridge, Marvin Partridge and Jackie “Happy” Partridge; grandchildren Tracy Walton, Shawn Peeples, Brody Scott, Clint Carter, Rachael Whitner and Michelle McGraw, as well as many great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at Southern Heritage on Highway 119 in Pelham. Services will follow at 1:00 pm. Nell will be laid to rest at Still Cemetery (Elliottsville), in Alabaster. Per family request, in lieu of flowers, make donations to American Heart Association.
