, age 67, passed away unexpectedly Monday night at her home in Fairhope, Alabama. She was born on January 18, 1946 in Edison, Georgia and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. Patricia graduated from Auburn University. She moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1969 where she lived the remainder of her life. She began working as a computer analyst which she found challenging and enjoyable. Patricia devoted her life to being a wonderful mother. She loved reading, solving Sudoku puzzles, and gathering with her friends. Her true joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Jeanelle Plexico; and her brother, Larry Plexico. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John Kovac; her brother, Perry Spratt Plexico and his wife Judy; her sister, Judi Plexico; her son, John Kovac; her daughter, Kelly Traylor and her husband Jason; her two grandchildren, Kayla and Jakson Traylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the 12 noon service celebrating Patricia's life on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The private burial will follow in Dadeville, Alabama.
