
DOBBS, PEGGY R., 82, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013. Peggy was born in Birmingham, AL on December 24, 1930. She was the daughter of Flynt E. Randolph and Livia Randolph Hood. Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Homer L. Dobbs, Sr., who passed away only six months ago. She is survived by three daughters, Pati Dobbs of Huntsville, AL, Niki (Danny) Dambro of Birmingham, AL, and Jodi (Gary) McDanal of Montevallo, AL and one son, Lyn (Carolyn) Dobbs of Chelsea, AL; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was also a faithful follower and servant of Christ. She served the Lord faithfully as a member of Disciples' Fellowship in Hoover, AL. Peggy also led a special group of her friends in a ladies' Bible study for over 20 years. She was a strong and courageous woman who loved her family and her God with all her heart. She had a powerful impact on so many and she will be deeply missed. We celebrate her life and the legacy that she leaves with all those who had the privilege to know her and love her. Peggy’s family will greet friends from 2p.m. until 3p.m. chapel service at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Monday July 1, 2013. Burial will follow in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the givers favorite charity.
