Peggy Faith Hand

Peggy was a long-time floral designer and wedding planner in the Birmingham area. She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist Church, and loved to share Jesus' love with anyone she met.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Edward Hand, to whom she was married on April 7, 1951; her parents, Maude and Carey Edney Sr.; her brother, Carey Edney Jr.; sisters-in-law, Jamima Edney, Betty Sue Hand, and Donna Hand; and brothers-in-law, Benny Hand and Russell Hand.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Alisa Hand Peinhardt (husband, Nick Coetzee), and five grandchildren, Jason Keller, Taylor Peinhardt (husband, Mike Beasley), Catherine Peinhardt (husband, Dalton Cameron), Austin Peinhardt (wife, Cecilia Ballinger), and Benjamin Peinhardt.

Peggy's family will receive friends on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Christ Church United Methodist Church, Birmingham, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance at 10:30 a.m. at the church, 5091 Caldwell Mill Road, Birmingham, AL 35242. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham.
