Peggy Ann Harris

Peggy Ann Harris, born August 12, 1939 passed away on September 27, 2025. She was born in Cullman, Alabama and moved to Birmingham as a young girl. She was preceded in death by her parents Rellie and Jewel Harris; sister, Rellene Harris; and brother, Ronnie Harris. Peggy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kelley English (Alan), David Harris (Kristi), and Joel Harris; and her great nieces and nephews, Philip English (Madeline), Anna Singleton (Jackson), Brooke Markham (Austin), Zachary Harris, and Emma Graham (Sam).

She loved her family and enjoyed any holiday or birthday gathering when we could all be together. She was a big Auburn football fan. Many of us were recipients through the years of her "War Eagle" phone calls after an Auburn victory.

While living her last years at Shelby Ridge, her favorite event was Bingo. She looked forward to it and won often. She enjoyed her time there, getting to have social activities and talking with other residents and the staff. She had an amazing recollection for names and always called the staff by name. She also spent time doing word puzzles and reading her devotional books.

The family would like to thank the staff at Shelby Ridge for their kindness and the care provided to her in the years she lived there.

A graveside service will be held at Welti Cumberland Cemetery, located at 8817 Co Rd 747, Cullman, AL 35055, US. The service is scheduled for October 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
