It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Lavon announces her passing, after a long battle with cancer, on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the age of 73. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her husband Allen Ross and his family; her daughter, Cassie Mangina and her family; and her three brothers, Wayne, Don, and Rick Sease and their families.
Phyllis was a very kind, tender-hearted person. She will be remembered as always encouraging, uplifting and supporting friends, family, and everyone she met. Phyllis had a gift of always making you feel better about yourself. She faithfully attended all her grandkids’ soccer games, choir concerts, and awards ceremonies.
Phyllis was very passionate about music. She played piano for her church as a teenager and passed that love of music on to her grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside commemoration.
A Remembrance Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 4609 Martin Street South, Cropwell, AL 35054, at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
The family gratefully declines flowers and/or donations.
