Ralph (Ron) Pouncy, 75, of Pelham, Alabama, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born to Robert and Idell Pouncy on October 2, 1943 in Crestview, Florida.

Ron is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Renae Pouncy; his daughter, Renea Pitts (Mike); and his sister, Rondell Moran (Pete); and sister-in-law Julie Holden; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, Robert Eugene Pouncy; his mother, Idell Alerich Pouncy; and his brothers, Franklin D. Pouncy and Robert Eugene Pouncy Jr.

Ron proudly impacted the future generations of his family by serving in the U.S. Army. For over 40 years, he was active in the used car industry, even up until his passing. He was highly respected within the industry and had a passion for his work.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Gathering of family and friends will take place from 2-4 p.m. with service to follow at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.

I was at the auction at ABC on Wednesday and I thought to myself that I did not see him around and thought it unusual. We talked every Wednesday!! He will be sorely missed in our auction world. My deepest condolences!!!!!

Ron was a friend of mine ,we shared breakfast on wednesday mornings at adesa auto auction each week , an solve the problems of the world together . Ron had a witty sense of humor an gave me advice over the years an we had car biz together for over 20 plus years . i will miss his friendship an i will see him 1 day again ! Prayers for the family .
