Ray Lane Kohler

A graduate of Greenville High School, Ray earned her undergraduate degree in Education at East Carolina University. Her professional career spanned several years with Dr. William Carvel Woodall, MD at Birmingham (Alabama) Neurosurgery & Spine Group.

Ray was a member of Christ Church in Birmingham. One of her favorite pastimes was painting with watercolors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Kohler. Survivors include two daughters, Susan K. Morton (Dan) and Jamie Herring (Jay), and four grandchildren, Daniel Morton, Bradley Morton, Josie Herring, and Sophie Herring.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Christ Church Birmingham from 10-11 a.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance for Ray at 11 a.m. at the church, 5091 Caldwell Mill Road, Birmingham, AL 35242.
