She was born in 1923 in Lantic, Cote du Nord, France and in 1927, along with her parents, Eugene and Marie Rose LeVoyer, she immigrated to America from France and lived in New York City. She was preceded in death by her brother, Maurice LeVoyer. She graduated with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Pratt Institute and was employed at French Hospital and New York Telephone Company.
Raymonde married John Rene Lau on September 14, 1946. Their union was blessed with four children, JoAnne Lau Hoff (Chris), Richard (Patty) Lau, Jeffrey (JoAnn) Lau and Father Jack Lau, OMI. They resided in Yorktown Heights, NY for 30 years then retired to Hampstead, NC for 20 years. In 2004, to be closer to family, they relocated to Pelham, AL. On the death of her beloved husband, John, in 2015, she lived with her daughter, JoAnne.
She leaves behind her four children, eight grandchildren, Stephen Hoff (Stephanie); Jennifer Hoff Friedman (Michael); Allison Hoff Festavan (Cade); Megan Lau (Matt); Thomas Lau (Emily); James Lau (Corinna); Michael Lau; and Christopher Lau; along with 11 great-grandchildren, Sam, Louis, and Ben Hoff; Joey and Jack Friedman; Campbell and Charlotte Festavan; Caroline and Bobby Lau; and Elefterios and Kalliope Lau.
A funeral mass will take place at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover, AL on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 3:00 pm. It will be livestreamed via the following link

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private ceremony at Alabama National Cemetery.
