She was born on May 12, 1940, in Paris, France to the late Hiam and Suzanne Mouyal. Regina moved to and became a citizen of the United States. After graduating with a bachelor of fine arts, she made a career as an interior designer, working at Greenbrier Furniture. On top of traveling the world, Regina was a Docent at the Birmingham Museum of Art, where she was well versed in French Impressionism. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
Regina is preceded in death by her parents, Hiam and Suzanne Mouyal, and her husband, Reggie Smith.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sonia Reid; two sons, Pat Smith and Randy Smith; six grandchildren; two brothers, Gil Mouyal, and Alain Mouyal; and three sisters, Vicky McLoughlin, Lillian Taylor, and Teresa Williams.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private graveside service on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL.
