Richard (Rick) Glen Godwin lost his battle with Amyloidosis on October 27, 2012. His father, LM Godwin, precedes him in death. Survivors include: his daughter, Lena Gross and her husband, Jason of Bristow, VA; his son Garrett Godwin of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Andrew and Ryan Gross; his mother, Wallace Godwin of Tallassee, AL; his brother Lamar Godwin and sister in law Deborah; and his partner of many years Mike Baswell of Birmingham. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with the service starting at 3pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
