Richard C. Stracner

He was preceded in death by his father, George (Cotton) Stracner; his mother, Mildred (Trixie) Stracner and his brother, Jim Stracner.

Richard is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette (Singley) Stracner; 3 sons, Darryl (Pam) Stracner, Barry Stracner, Randy (Susie) Stracner; 3 grandchildren, Britt Stracner, Sherry Stracner, Mandy (Matt) Burbank and 2 great grandchildren, Griffin and Lizzy Grace Burbank. He is also survived by his sister in law, Martha Stracner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard spent most of his career in the medical field. The last sixteen years were as owner and CEO of Med-x Laser Center of Alabama. He also partnered with Dr.'s Dunavan, Yates and Alison at Skin Health and Laser Center in Huntsville, Alabama as their Laser Specialist.

Richard was an active member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church where he enjoyed serving others. His weekly Super Club outings with his Sunday School Class was something he always looked forward to. It brought great joy when he could bring people to the Lord.

In his retirement years, Richard enjoyed being in his garage restoring classic cars and spending time with family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, at 12:00 pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Briarwood Presbyterian Church.
