The Albertville, Alabama native was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. After graduating from Woodlawn High School, he completed his undergraduate studies at Birmingham Southern College.
Mr. Gorman was predeceased by his parents, Robert Lee Gorman Jr. and Hazel Gorman Whittle. Survivors include wife, Betty Jo Loggins Gorman; three daughters, Brenda Jo Goodwin (Andy), Karen Lee Baker, and Sharon Luanne Bondarerko (Leif); two grandchildren, Andrea Goodwin and Johnathan Goodwin; sister, Catherine Jane Harris; brother, Luke Whittle; and brother-in-law, Larry Loggins (Martha).
The graveside funeral service will be at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo. Rev. Jim Frazier and Rev. Butch Williams will officiate.
