Robert, a native of Tishamingo, Mississippi, was predeceased by his parents, Jodie and Frances McCormick, and two brothers, Charles McCormick and Bill Merritt.
Survivors include Robert's wife, Michalian McCormick; two daughters, Vonda Gilliam and Jennifer McCormick; two sons, Steve McCormick and Ken Gilliam; four grandchildren, Andrew Gilliam (Katie), Sarah Gilliam, Anna Lee McCormick, and Michael McCormick; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Reid Gilliam and Charlotte Olivia Gilliam; two sisters, Sandra McCluskey and Wanda Merritt; and one brother, Johnny McCluskey.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by the 3:30 p.m. graveside service at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
