Roger Dale Addison

December 3, 1953October 1, 2011

Roger Addison, 57, died October 1, 2011 with his family right by his side at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at 11:00am at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends after the service. He was born in Haleyville, Alabama to Gordon and Sybil Inez Addison. Roger was a devoted employee to Buffalo Rock for 37 years. However, he was even more devoted to being an incredible grandfather, father, brother, and friend. He would do anything at anytime for anyone in need…no questions asked. He was the most organized, driven and goal-oriented man that ever walked this planet. To call Roger Addison a hard-working man is the understatement of a lifetime. The Angels in Heaven can rejoice because they will finally be able to take a day off now that he has been called back home. Roger is survived by his son and his spouse, Dale and Robyn Addison; his daughter and her spouse, Candace and Sam Armstrong; his two sisters and their spouses, Evelyn and Gary Holloway; Phyllis and Roger Harbor; his 5 grandchildren and all of his nieces, nephews and cousins he cared so deeply about. In lieu of flowers, all donations may be sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Growing up with Roger at B-Rock was the most fun anyone could have. I started when I was 26 yrs and Roger was 25 yrs. We became good friends. We worked hard and played harder. He was one of the best friends any one person could have. He will be missed and I was PROUD to be his friend. I will never forget you Roger.

He can't be replaced. He is in a better place God needed an excellent Salesman who was organized up there to help him. I will miss my buddy from across the hall at work.
