Russell was employed for over 30 years as a truck driver with XPO Logistics, Inc. He was one of only two truckers with the company's operation in Bessemer, Alabama to drive 2 million miles accident-free.
In his leisure, Russell enjoyed fishing, hunting, Alabama Crimson Tide football, and restoring antique cars.
Left to cherish memories of Russell are his mother, Adelle Belcher; step-father, Don Belcher; and two sisters, Deborah Parker and Sarah Jayne Belcher (Jamie).
Russell's family will greet friends Friday, May 17, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The graveside service will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South, 2711 John Hawkins Parkway, Birmingham, AL 35244.
