Samuel Kenneth "Pampoo" Ray, age 71, of Alabaster passed away on September 27, 2020. He was born and raised in Alabama his whole life. He is survived by his loving wife Melissa Ray; son, Richard Ray (Monica); daughter Leslie Hahn; granddaughters Courtney Hahn and Catherine Ray; grandson Corey Ray; brothers, Michael Ray (Sheila), Pat Ray (Teresa), Charles Ray; sister, Cathy Ray and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn "YaYa" Ussery and his first wife Cathy Gail Ray. He retired from Southwest Water,he loved the people and place very much. After retiring he enjoyed building model cars, expert lego kits and spending time with his family. He had a lifelong passion for restoring antique cars and for Alabama football. He was a member of Helena Church of Christ and so greatly appreciated all they did for him. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Two by Two Rescue in Helena, AL. Visitation will be October 1, 2020 from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
