Samuel James Taylor

In Samuel’s 43 hours on earth, he brought so much joy into hearts, left an impact on many lives, and his story remains one of hope to all that heaven is not far and Jesus is so near.

Samuel is survived by his parents, Alec and Mary-Payne (Watson) Taylor; his paternal grandparents, Austin (Bo) and Jana (Todd) Taylor; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Traci (Tait) Watson; his uncles, Sean Taylor, Austin Taylor, Rushing (Meredith) Watson, and Davis Watson; his cousin, Dru Watson; his paternal great-grandparents, Jerry and Louise (Atwood) Todd; his maternal great-grandparents, Wayne and Edwina (Owens) Tait and numerous great-aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Samuel is preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents Coy L. Taylor Sr. and Ida (Garland) Taylor.

The family would like to say ‘Thank You’ to the UAB RNICU team as well as the Labor and Delivery team for their best-in-class care, compassion, love, and support.

A private family ceremony will be held in Samuel’s honor.
