She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Ashlock McCarty in 2020, and is survived by her two daughters, Audrey Wilson, 11, and Hadley Wilson, 7, her brother Cory McCarty and father Buford McCarty.
She was a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School and afterwards attended and earned a degree in accounting from Birmingham Southern College.
Sara was a caring person with a big heart. She will be missed by her friends and family.
