Shirley Lee Worthington

Shirley Lee Worthington, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. Born on August 29, 1930, in Fulda, Minnesota, to Paul and Betty Reusse, Shirley lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and Lord. She is survived by her beloved husband, Allan Worthington, and her children: daughter Linda Malcom, son Allan (Nancy)Worthington, daughter Michele Adkins, son Marshal (Susan) Worthington, and son Daniel Worthington. Shirley was also a cherished sister to her brother, Tom (Heather) Reusse.

Her legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild , who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Shirley’s life was a testament to her love for Christ, her family and her many friendships. Her faith was a strength for her entire family. Her zest for life and joyful spirit were contagious and always brought happiness to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will have a private burial service. There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Church of the Highlands Greystone campus on August 31 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 10:30. Service will be live streamed on Facebook via Michele Adkins for anyone not able to attend.
