Slater Michael Jones

Slater graduated from Chelsea High School and attended the University of Alabama, Birmingham and Jefferson State Community College. He worked in Purchasing and Inventory Control at AmeriBolt, Inc. His favorite pastimes included fishing, computer gaming, and playing with his pets.

Slater was predeceased by his grandfathers, Donald P. Slater and Michael T. Jones, Sr. Survivors include his parents, Mike and Molly Slater Jones; two brothers, John and Max; grandmothers, Joanne Slater, Melba Stephens (Marvin), and Kathy Jones; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friend, Alexis N. Bahr.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by the 3 p.m. Celebration of Slater's Life in Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Interment will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Pastor Bronson Moore will officiate, and pallbearers will be Blake Allen, Jacob Davenport, Shannon Foster, Zac Griffith, KaDarius King, and George Watts.
