Stacey Michelle West

In 1975, Stacey’s father Ron Cox became pastor of Alabaster First Assembly of God (now Kingwood Church) which would become Stacey’s home church. She graduated from Thompson High School in Alabaster, and later received her Bachelor in Education degree from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.

While attending Southeastern, Stacey met and fell in love with Jay West from Memphis, Tennessee. They married on July 31, 1993 and have spent the last 30 years in Youth and Pastoral ministry together in four churches in Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama, including Kingwood Church where they have served as Lead Pastor since 2009. They welcomed sons Conner in 1997 and Tyler in 2002.

Stacey taught in the public school system for many years at the elementary and preschool levels before taking leave to raise her boys.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Cox, and her sister, Tiffanni Cox Sims.

She is survived by her husband, Jay West; her sons, Conner and Tyler West; her parents, Ron and Susanne Cox; and a host of extended family members.

A visitation will take place at Kingwood Church in Alabaster, Alabama on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. The funeral will take place Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Kingwood Church. A gravesite committal and burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama.
