Stephen “Mark” Keaten of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on May 27, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Melba Keaten. He was born in Carrollton, Georgia on October 6, 1955 and married Mitzie Fran Scott on September 6, 1980. Mark was a businessman and entrepreneur with several business ventures but he was most known for his incredible generosity and selfless nature. Other than loving his grandchildren he enjoyed spending time at his cabin, fishing trips with his friends and family, Alabama football, and watching Braves baseball. Mark is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mitzie Keaten, his children Sallie(Greg) Benke, Sarah (Torrie) Coghlin, and Benjamin Keaten as well as his beloved grandchildren Nixon Keaten, Jenna Coghlin, Julia Benke, Kynleigh Keaten, Lily Coghlin, and Henry Benke. He is also survived by special in-laws A.C. and Christine Scott, daughters-in-love Megan Connell and Shelby Elmore, his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
