A proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Steve loved his family, his dogs, and his friends. He enjoyed good food, good music, and golf, and he was an avid University of Alabama football fan.
Steve graduated from West End High School in Birmingham, Alabama in 1964, and later earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Birmingham Southern College. He retired from computer software sales in 2014.
Steve was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Wolff, and his parents, Earl and Ann Wolff.
Survivors include Steve's two daughters, Kimberly Massey Gilbert (Nathan) and Christy Massey Manahan (Mike); grandchilden, Andrew Steele, Patrick Steele (Kristen), Haley Steele, Ryan Steele, Jake Massey, Matthew Manahan, Tommy Manahan, and Maggie Manahan; one great-grandchild, Scarlett Steele; one sister, Debra W. Lawyer; nephew, David Lawyer (Allison); and great-nieces, Bailey and Natalie Lawyer.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Celebration of Steve's Life at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Later that afternoon, the gravesite committal service and burial will be at 2 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
