Steven Harper

Steven Harper, 55, native and long-time resident of Jasper, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He enjoyed a long career in business management, most recently with Cadence Bank. Steve will be remembered as an outgoing and energetic individual whose quick wit and humor-filled personality made him the life of any party. Cherishing their memories of him are his mother and step-father, Betty and Robert C. Barnett of Hoover, Alabama; his brother and sister, Brandon and Kym Smith of Helena, Alabama; and his long-time partner, Scott Aikins of Jasper. The family will greet guests from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by the 4 p.m. gravesite committal service at Southern Heritage Mausoleum, Pelham. Steve enjoyed providing a safe home and care for his two poodles and his terrier dog.
