Susan Louise Keller was born March 18, 1961 to Wallace and JanetJackson in Roulette, North Dakota. On July 7 2013, she went to her savior at the age of 52 in Birmingham, Alabama. Her father was a pastor who served churches across the United States. While serving at Calvary Lutheran in Wallace, SD, Susan met her future husband, Dale, while attending Webster High School. In August of 1979 they were married. Susan was an advocate for the unborn, for years volunteering at different crisis pregnancy centers. First at Health Resources LifeCare Center in Fergus Falls, MN and finally at Sav-A-Life Shelby in Pelham, AL. She loved children both near and far, known and unknown. Other interests included gardening, exercise, and reading. Of highest priority, however, was her love of Christ. Susan is survived by her husband Dale Keller, her mother Janet Jackson, her brothers Vaughn (Beverly), Jim (Elaine), and Jeff (Peg), two sons Jesse and David, her daughter-in-law Kristen, her grandchildren Trent, Sean, and Caleb, and many nieces and nephews. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Children of the Nations for the construction of international staff housing in Upper Banta, Sierra Leone. The house will be named "Susan's House" and will be built by her son, David Keller. It will house international staff on mission in the country and was a cause near and dear to her heart.
