Susan Louise Martin Wright, age 74, of Pelham passed away the morning of December 6th, 2018. She was born October 9, 1944 in Shelby County. She was the youngest child of Isaac Newton Martin and Alice Frances Massey. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers Grady Martin and Fred Martin. She is survived by her loving husband James William (Bill) Wright; her daughters Allison Dorsett (Ken) and Tara Folmar (Pete); grandchildren Andrew Marling, Hannah Marling, Olivia Marling, Benjamin Marling, Ethan Folmar, Elijah Folmar, and Madilyn Dorsett; brothers Gerald Martin and Jim Martin; special nieces and best friends Frankie Coston and Sarah Richards; her very special friend and caretaker Dorothy Avery and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 also at Southern Heritage with burial and graveside services to follow at Patton Chapel Cemetery in Hoover. Pastors Ken Stroup and Jerry Burton officiating.
