Tammie Smith Jackson

Tammie Smith Jackson, 61, of Birmingham, Alabama, went home on September 27, 2025. She was surrounded by those she loved as her vibrant soul departed this world to be welcomed into God's loving arms. She was born in Birmingham on October 1,1963. Tammie graduated from West Birmingham Christian and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was married to David Lee Jackson on October 25, 2011. Tammie worked as an office administrator for Chick-Fil-A for 20+ years. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church and had a passion for being a momma, laughing with David, and serving others. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Huck and Wilma Smith and grandson Huck Buckner. She was survived by her husband, David Lee Jackson, children, Zachary Michael Walton (Becca), Noah Smith Walton (granddaughter Harper Eden Walton), Michaela Vae Walton (Clint), Jonah Dean Walton (Cia), and a host of cousins. Funeral arrangements will be held at 2P, October 2, at Green Valley Baptist Church. Receiving will be held at 12:30P. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Compassion International or the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
