On November 18, 2017 at 11:46 a.m., Terry Jackson Denard, in the presence of family and friends, made his last ride. Terry is survived by his loving wife Anita, mother Mable Denard, daughter Christy (Ian) Hall, sons Jeffery Beauchamp and Jeremy (Kendra) Beauchamp, grandchildren Blake and Kendall Hall, Lillian Beauchamp, and Atticus and Idella Beauchamp. He is also survived by his brothers Randy (Debbie) Denard and Mike (Kelli) Denard. He is preceded in death by his father, Othar Denard. Terry Denard was born on July 19, 1957 in Pelham and was raised in Alabaster. He grew up riding horses and competing in rodeos and was an auctioneer for twenty-two years. All Terry ever wanted to be was a cowboy, and he was, the finest around. He worked hard for everything he had, loved his family and was a man of great faith. He never hesitated to help anyone in need, whether it was advice on life or rodeo. He helped hundreds of people with their horsemanship and rodeo careers. He was a mentor, a friend, and a father-figure to many. Terry faced adversity with calm dignity and incredible determination while working as hard as he possibly could to create a future for his family no matter what happened to him. His faith allowed him to face down cancer and say, "I'm a winner either way", he knew the Lord was waiting with open arms and would say: "Welcome home cowboy, your entry fees are paid." Funeral Services will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests toys that will be given to The Salvation Army's Forgotten Angel Program.
