Thelma Jane Baker Moon

Thelma Jane Moon, 94, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away Thursday evening, November 28, 2019. She had lived in the Birmingham, AL area for the past three years.

Mrs. Moon was retired City Clerk at the City of Edmundson, MO. She was a member of Overland Church of Christ in St. Louis and Riverchase Church of Christ in Birmingham. She served as a Bible school teacher for over 60 years.

Mrs. Moon was predeceased by her husband, Zara Chester Moon; her parents, Blanche Elsie Eldridge Baker and Charles Quentin Baker; one brother, Howard Baker (Alice); and a sister, Velda Baker Yehle (Bill).

Survivors include Mrs. Moon's two daughters, Diana Kay Barnes (John) and Deborah Lynn Stewart (Mike); one son, David Chester Moon (Lisa); six grandchildren, Dawn Vaughn (Steven), Christopher Moon, Kelsey McHam (Gerren), Kimberly Moon, Katherine Simpson (Chase), and Kelli Mallett (Avery); two great-grandchildren, Colin Moon and Hailey Moon; and one brother, Marvin Baker (Jan).

The gravesite committtal service will be at 10:45 a.m. EST at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Ed Bialon will officiate.

The family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Fair Haven Children's Home, 3131 N. Fairhaven Loop, Strafford, MO 65757. Or, give to the Christian Relief Fund, P.O. Box 19670, Amarillo, TX 79114.
